shares have entered an interesting short-term phase after a strong recovery from the recent lows. On the 15-minute chart, price climbed from the $250 area and gradually shifted the structure in favor of buyers, producing several bullish breaks of structure before reaching the $257–$258 resistance region. That recovery is now being tested.
The most important point on the chart is that Amazon pushed into the upper supply area around $257–$258 and failed to maintain the momentum. Price subsequently pulled back toward the $253–$253.50 area, where it is currently attempting to stabilize. For short-term traders, this pullback is more important than the initial rally because it will show whether the recent bullish structure is still intact or whether the move was simply a recovery into resistance.
The $256 Area Is Now Important
One of the clearest developments on the chart is the earlier change in market structure around the $256 area. Buyers were able to push through previous short-term highs and establish a sequence of higher highs. However, the latest decline has created a bearish change-of-character indication around that structure.
This does not automatically mean that the broader recovery is finished, but it does tell us that buyers are no longer in complete control of the short-term price action. If Amazon can reclaim the $256 area and start building back above the recent lower high, the current pullback could turn into another attempt at the $257–$258 resistance zone. On the other hand, continued weakness below the current price could bring the lower support areas back into focus.
$252.80–$253 Becomes a Key Short-Term Zone
The area around $252.80–$253 deserves attention because it is close to the marked overnight level and sits within the recent recovery structure. If buyers defend this area and price begins forming higher lows on the 15-minute chart, the recovery scenario would become more interesting. A move back above $255 would then improve the short-term structure, while a reclaim of $256 would provide stronger confirmation that buyers are attempting to regain control. But if price loses $252.80 with sustained selling pressure, the market could start testing lower levels from the recent consolidation. This is where patience matters. A trader does not necessarily need to predict whether the next candle will be bullish or bearish. The more useful question is how price behaves around these structural levels.
Resistance Still Matters
Above the market, the $257–$258 region remains the main obstacle for buyers. The chart shows repeated interaction with this area, followed by selling pressure. A clean break and sustained move above $258 would change the short-term picture considerably and could open the door toward the higher supply region around $258.50–$259.50. Until that happens, however, the resistance zone remains a place where sellers have previously shown interest.
The Bigger Picture From the 15-Minute Chart
What makes this setup interesting is the contrast between the strong recovery and the current pullback. Amazon has already demonstrated that buyers can step in aggressively from lower levels, but the latest rejection shows that momentum can change quickly when price reaches a significant resistance area. For me, the key levels are straightforward: Support: $252.80–$253 | Short-term recovery level: $255 | Structure level: $256 | Resistance: $257–$258 | Higher supply: $258.50–$259.50.
Rather than assuming that either side will win immediately, I would watch the reaction around these levels. A bullish response from support would keep the recovery scenario alive, while a sustained break of support would suggest that the recent rally is losing its strength. The most important lesson from this chart is that structure matters more than simply chasing the direction of the latest candle. Price can look strongly bullish during a recovery and still run into significant resistance a few candles later. Likewise, a pullback does not automatically mean the entire bullish move has failed. For short-term traders, the next few 15-minute candles could therefore be more informative than the move that has already happened.
