- In this piece, we take a look at how Investing.com’s GenAI tool WarrenAI’s picks have performed amid market uncertainty.
- The average returns suggest that undervaluation alone does not always guarantee a quick recovery.
- So, what could help investors make better decisions when evaluating WarrenAI’s picks?
Finding an undervalued stock is one thing. Finding out whether that stock actually delivers after being identified is another. A stock can look cheap on fundamental measures and still fall for weeks or months, while another can rally soon after an AI model flags it.
That makes the performance of InvestingPro’s WarrenAI stock selections worth tracking. Over the past few months, a series of stocks identified by the investment-focused AI tool as potentially undervalued were monitored from their original entry points to see how they have performed.
The results have been mixed. Some picks have delivered substantial gains, including Alphabet (NASDAQ:), which rallied about 20% after WarrenAI identified it near a key technical support level.
Others, including Nike, have continued to decline despite appearing increasingly undervalued. Across the stocks currently being tracked, the average return was around 4% to 5%, based on the latest calculation, as the stock selections were reviewed roughly every 6 weeks.

Alphabet Delivered a 20% Rally
Alphabet provides one of the clearest examples of WarrenAI’s fundamental assessment aligning with technical conditions.
The stock was identified around $319.74, when it was sitting close to its 200-session moving average, an important technical support area. From there, Alphabet rallied to around $380, representing a gain of roughly 20% in a couple of weeks.
The stock has since entered a correction and is currently moving sideways. The 200-session moving average has once again held, but the next important test is the 70-session moving average.

If that average acts as resistance and the stock turns lower, it would suggest that sellers remain in control within the current range. A break below the 200-session moving average would provide a more significant warning.
A move back above the 70-session average, followed by a rise toward $360 to $370, would improve the technical picture. That would still fall short of confirming a return to record highs, but it could support continued sideways trading within the range established over the past several months.
Nike Shows Why Undervaluation Does Not Guarantee a Reversal
Nike (NYSE:) has produced a very different outcome. WarrenAI identified the stock around $41.27, but the shares have continued to decline and recently traded around $36.
The stock had already appeared undervalued around the original entry, and the continued decline has made the valuation case even more pronounced. Yet there has been little evidence from the chart that the downtrend is ending.
Nike has broken below the $40 level, while the RSI continues to approach the $30 area. The monthly chart points toward the $33-$34 region, with $35 also representing a potential long-term area of interest.

The key missing ingredient is a technical reversal signal. A positive divergence around the major support zone could provide an early indication that selling pressure is fading.
The example reinforces one of the central points of the analysis: an undervalued stock can become even more undervalued before the price eventually turns higher. Fundamental analysis can help identify the opportunity, while technical analysis can help with timing.
Zoetis Remains in a Sideways Range
Zoetis (NYSE:) has shown relatively little movement since WarrenAI identified it around $72.60. The stock remains slightly above that level and has been trading sideways, potentially forming a base.
Resistance around $79.30 is particularly important because the 70-session moving average is also expected to be close to that area. A break above both levels would strengthen the technical setup.

The next potential target would be the gap base around $91, followed by the 200-session moving average. A pullback from those levels could then provide another test of whether the 70-session moving average has turned into support.
For now, however, the stock remains within its sideways range and lacks the decisive technical signal seen in some of the stronger performers.
NXP Semiconductors Needs a Quick Reaction
NXP Semiconductors (NASDAQ:) was added to the list around $125.06 and remains slightly above its original entry. The stock has largely moved sideways, but the technical setup is becoming more important.
The major concern is the relationship between the 70-session and 200-session moving averages. The 70-session average is approaching a potential bearish crossover below the 200-session average.
A bullish crossover can indicate the development of a new uptrend, while a move in the opposite direction can signal continued weakness. NXP therefore needs a relatively quick recovery, particularly if the stock can break above the nearby resistance rather than allowing the moving averages to produce a bearish crossover.
Cinia Continues to Hold Above Its Entry
Cinia has appeared in the WarrenAI selection multiple times, including twice among the latest three selections. The stock was previously identified around $277 and more recently around $280, and it remains above those entry levels.
The 70-session moving average is beginning to turn higher relative to the 200-session average, which could eventually provide a bullish signal. However, the move needs to continue. A pullback toward the $280 area could weaken the setup.
Another important level is around $295, where a gap is located. A move through that area and a complete gap closure without renewed selling would provide a stronger technical signal.
Cinia has been in a clear downtrend since mid-2024, when the 70-session average crossed below the 200-session average. Several attempts to reverse that structure have failed, so the current move needs further confirmation before the longer-term trend can be considered changed.
Nissan Leads the Recent Picks
One of the strongest performers is Nissan Technology, which appeared among the WarrenAI selections on two occasions.
Nissan appeared among the WarrenAI selections on two occasions. The latest entry was around $4.24, while the stock later traded at approximately $4.01.
That represents a substantial move higher from the level at which WarrenAI identified the stock. The technical picture also improved during the advance. A positive divergence appeared during the previous decline, followed by a move above the 70-session moving average.
The stock subsequently cleared its 200-session moving average and successfully retested that level as support. Holding above the 200-session average has strengthened the possibility that the broader decline seen since the beginning of the year could be transitioning into a new uptrend.
One technical signal could provide further confirmation. A bullish crossover in which the 70-session moving average moves above the 200-session moving average would strengthen the reversal case. The reverse crossover appeared near the beginning of the earlier decline, making a move in the opposite direction potentially significant.
Where WarrenAI Meets Technical Analysis
The performance of WarrenAI’s stock picks over the past few months offers a mixed picture, but it also shows why the results need to be viewed beyond a simple gain-or-loss figure.
That difference is important when assessing AI-generated stock ideas. WarrenAI’s fundamental analysis can identify stocks that appear undervalued, but that does not automatically establish when the share price will reverse. The subsequent performance of these picks shows that technical signals can provide another layer of information when assessing whether a stock is beginning to recover.
For now, the tracked portfolio has produced an average return of around 4% to 5%, although individual results have varied significantly. Continuing to track these selections over time should provide a clearer picture of how AI-generated stock ideas perform through different market conditions.
